What is Energy?
Energy is the lifeblood of the universe. Everything in the universe is made of energy, every seen and unseen thing, every being and inanimate object. A good analogy is water. When water is frozen, it is hard and has form just like a body or object. You cannot deny it exists. It is easy to describe. When it is at room temperature, it is liquid. It moves effortlessly. It is more difficult to describe or quantify. When it boils, it vaporizes and as it floats away it becomes impossible to see it. You may or may not be able to feel it as humidity. Just because you can’t see it or feel it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. The higher dimensions (beyond the third dimension), thoughts, emotions, spoken words, our spirits, are all energy. They, like vaporized water, though unseen are real. Imagine the feeling you experience when you think of someone you love very much. Love is energy. Again, you can’t see it but it is very real.
Since our bodies, minds, etc. are made with energy, channeling or taking in pure energy can help bring them into balance.
Many cultures, religious traditions and traditional forms of medicine have believed in and used energy for thousands of years. It is known as chi in Chinese medicine, prana in Hindi, kundalini in yoga (an ancient form of exercise). Reiki, Quantum Touch, even Christian faith healing are all energy healing modalities. They might all be performed in different ways but they all harness energy. Since our bodies, minds, etc. are made with energy, channeling or taking in pure energy can help bring them into balance.
Homeopathy and flower essence therapy are both energy medicines and are made in a similar manner. An original substance is taken and diluted over and over again until little or even no physical substance remains in the remedy. What is left is the universal life force from the original substance. It is this energy that is the active ingredient in both essences and homeopathy. The further a substance is diluted, the more concentrated the energy becomes.
